Large Placard/Overlay Application Instructions

Tools and supplies needed:

1 qt. spray bottle (filled with water & a few drops of liquid detergent)

Plastic squeegee

X-actor knife (if needed)

Alcohol / Fantastic 

Surface preparation:

All surfaces are to be considered dirty and MUST be cleaned prior to the placard/overlay placement. Freshly painted surfaces must be FULLY dry prior to application. Clean surface with Isopropyl alcohol or soap and water Temperature should be above 40°F.

Applying Placard/Overlay:

Make sure the placard/overlay fits BEFORE removing any of the double face tape backing. Balance out and visually align placard/overlay over the area to be covered. Peel back approximately 1/3 of the tape backing. (DO NOT APPLY) Spray the mounting surface moderately with the soapy water. Use any close fitting hardware/mounting bolts to hold the placard/overlay in place. LIGHTLY apply some pressure to hold it in place. Spray the remaining surface moderately with soapy water. Peel away the remaining backing. Lightly press into place, making sure of hole alignments.  Squeegee placard/overlay to remove any excess soapy water.

Final:

Trim the areas of the placard that might be interfering with any hole as needed.

Precautions:

LET IT DRY COMPLETELY.  BE CAUTIOUS of slippage on any vertical surfaces until fully dry. Do not ship until fully dry.
